Figure of the « passeur », painting of the depth, of the diasporic sublime, Frank Bowling has traveled enormous distances in his life, and his travels never ended when he left Guyana (British Guiana) for England. Britain for the United States in the mid-60s, from figurative to abstract art.

Julia Marchand, independent curator, and Amandine Nana, curator at the Palais de Tokyo. On the occasion of Frank Bowling’s current exhibition in Paris ‘Collage,’ Marchand and Nana delve into the artist’s work and practice.
